This place is a joke! Dirty and very stingy with their food for residents. All about management and residents get the bottom tier. Never send a family member there just ask the hospitals.

Horrible service for my mom she broke her hip and we chose her because my grandmother went her awhile back but has got Horrible in that time frame. She was asked not to walk on her leg and get help to do anything she would call the nurse light it would take over 15-30 minutes to come help her use the restroom or whatever she needed help with so sad to see this happen to my mom Aren the adim guy was amazing and the only one to help my mom when she needed it or I had ro call him to get nurse’s down to her room to help her.to the bathroom. Don’t put your love ones there

My dad entered Winding Trails about two months ago and had started his decline prior to arrival. During his time there, he had many good experiences and relationships with the staff and other residents. The staff really cared about him, tried hard and went out of their way to give him a positive experience. In the end during hospice and his passing; I thought the staff did a great job supporting us and him as best they could with professionalism, compassion and he received good care. I was really impressed with the staff and am grateful for our experience there. Thank You Winding Trails.❤️

Boulder Post acute is fantastic community to work with! The building is part of Boulder history, tucked back in a quiet neighborhood with amazing views of the flat irons. The social workers and unit managers are so genuine and truly passionate about providing excellent patient care.

If you are looking for Post Acute Rehabilitation Services you should look elsewhere. My father needed rehab after a seizure and the hospital transferred him to Post Acute. While there are a number of great staff members who are friendly, work really hard and are good at their jobs, the facility itself is old, deteriorated and dirty, and the majority of the patients are not actually rehab patients but long term, down-and-out psychiatric type residents who get no visitors no activities. Some of them yell out constantly and many are lined up in the hallway in wheelchairs. We found there is a lack of basic hygiene for the patients. My father was bathed once in a week, no one helped him brush his teeth and we often found him in a wet diaper and bed. There was a cockroach in his bathroom. The lack of bed monitors and rails were a safety risk for my father and he fell out of the bed at night and was found on the floor. We transferred to PAM Rehabilitation Hospital in Westminster and couldn’t be happier with the level of care they provide at PAM.

April, 2022: Mesa Vista of Boulder just served me the best meal I’ve ever had in any institutional setting! And I’ve been in a bunch over the course of the past 20 years . . . Jails, prison camps, homeless shelters, hospitals, and nursing homes. Today I ordered one of the lunch alternatives, egg roll and a delicious rice/vegetable/meat casserole (double portion). It was obviously homemade, and I washed it all down with a large black coffee. I couldn’t have dreamed of such great fare at my former home in Thornton. Update 11/28/ 2023: I’ve been unable to withdraw any cash from my Personal Needs Account here at the sanitarium for the past couple of weeks. All inquiries result in a referral to the Administrator who has control of the residents’ funds. Luckily, I have snacks stockpiled . . . It’s BS!

This new business is the product of a renaming of an old, established psychiatric nursing home known as Mesa Vista. While post-surgical treatment has, as I’ve observed, always been about one fifth of its business, the new name, in my opinion, marginalizes the long term residents. Which place would you prefer to call your home: Boulder Post Acute, or Mesa Vista? That said, Louise, the receptionist, is and always has been the motor of operation. They are very fortunate to have her.

I am/was a resident of this facility It’s typical for a long-term care facility. The food (quality and quantity) has recently been upgraded, and the interior has been repainted. The problem for me is that too many other residents are just not capable of sharing a semi-private room due to their mental illness; my current roommate spent several years in a state psychiatric hospital at Fort Logan, and he still suffers from paranoid delusions due to Bipolar Disorder. Many other residents are also disturbed, some profoundly.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident Absolutely do not recommend this place. The food is horrible, patients are mistreated, neglected, and dirty residents. Unnecessary procedures performed. Do not put your loved one here. So happy my cousin got her mother out of there months ago.
